PENGARUH KEBERADAAN PETTY CASH TERHADAP KINERJA GENERAL CASHIER DI HOTEL LOUIS KIENNE SIMPANG LIMA SEMARANG
Abstract
Petty cash is money given by a company to cover very minor costs; paying with a check or billyet giro is not cost-effective. The study question is how the performance of the general cashier is aided by the presence of petty cash. This study set out to ascertain the benefits of petty cash on the general cashier's performance at Hotel Louis Kienne Simpang Lima Semarang, as well as the general cashier's involvement in petty cash management. In this study, the general cashier and procurement represent the population and sample of two individuals, respectively, utilizing qualitative research methodologies. The methods utilized to acquire data are observation, documentation studies, and interviews. To test the validity of the data used are source triangulation methods, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of this study are that petty cash has a very important role in supporting the tasks and smooth performance of a general cashier. The greater the nominal amount of petty cash held by the general cashier, the better the quality of work. Efficiency in the procedure for submitting petty cash also supports the general cashier's performance. The more efficient the procedure, the better the impact on the general cashier's performance. Petty cash provides significant benefits in ensuring smooth operations, responsiveness to funding needs, and the quality of financial management in the Louis Kienne Simpang Lima Semarang hotel environment. This procedure for submitting petty cash helps minimize the occurrence of miss communication and unauthorized use of petty cash funds.
