Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the development of Mount Pegat Tourism
Object on the Economy of the local community, especially in Klile Village, Karangasem Village. The
preparation of this research uses a descriptive method, with a case study approach that uses descriptive
forms and strategies of qualitative analysis. Methods or techniques of data collection by using the
method of observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. With the data obtained, it is
known that the development of tourism objects in Mount Pegat greatly affects the welfare of the people
in the hamlet of klile, the positive impact of the development of tourism objects of Mount Pegat which
is very visible is opening up new business opportunities for residents of the hamlet of Klile, Karangasem
village, Bulu sub-district, Sukoharjo regency. The results of the research are (1) tourism development
affects the welfare of the community with the existence of 4A, namely improving access, improving
amenities or facilities, the existence of tourist attractions and good services, which greatly affect the
welfare of the community in order to support the income level of the community around Klile hamlet,
Karangasem village, Bulu sub-district, Sukoharjo regency.
